Rules and Regulations

• All faculty, staff members and students of the institute can be a member of Shyambazar Law College Library
• Personal belongings (i.e., bags, folders, etc.) must be kept in the holder placed outside the library gate.
• Library member must make an entry in the usage register kept in the counter
• Mobile and laptop are not allowed in the library.
• Stick no marks, underlines, no name, etc. throughout the library books.
• No reading books are allowed outside the premises without permission.
• If book lost by the library member, he or she must submit new book of the same edition or latest edition.
• If any dues with the library are not cleared, clearance certificate (CC) will not be issued. All books, any library documents and library cards must be returned before taking CC or leaving college
• Silence should be observed strictly in the library.

For student members:

• One membership card is to be issued to each student.
• Member students are not allowed without college uniform & membership card.
• One books on lending card for a period of fifteen days can be borrowed by the student. Re-issue facility is also available.
• Membership card is not transferable.
• If the card is lost, duplicate card may be issued on payment of charges Rs. 100/- (Rupees Hundred only) along with the copy of GD from police station
• Member students can consult reference books, Journals & e-journals in the library.
• Student members are directed to return all books to the library before appearing examination positivelyn

For Faculty Members:

• Faculty Registration is necessary for library membership.
• 10 books can be borrowed by the faculty member for 6 months.

The above-mentioned library rules may be changed or altered from time to time.
